Name: Juana Garcia, from Guerrero, Mexico. I came here looking for work and a better future. I have to be both mother and father to my children. I have four children, two girls and two boys. Thank God I was able to get ahead for a while; two of my children are in Mexico and two are here in New York. I have worked with people from all over the world: Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, Chinese and people who speak English. Workers who don’t know their rights are often abused and now there is no work. It’s very hard to find a job and I don’t have Medicaid or any other health insurance. I am part of the 99% and that’s my story.
