I am 19 years old. My boyfriend and I have been homeless since we graduated high school. My moms unemployment ran out and she now lives with her mother. My boyfriends parents filed bankruptcy and left the state without him. We depend heavily on our food stamps and our friends opening their houses to us. When I was in middle school I dreamed of a college degree and a hard working career. Now I sleep on floors and eat leftovers. I am lucky I qualify for Oregon Health Pan or I don’t know how I would afford my medications for rapid cycle Bi-Polar disorder and Gastro-Esophageal Reflux disease.
