We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I’m a 20 year old guy who’s lived in: Bakersfield, Ridgecrest, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Santa Rosa over the past two years!

My grandma (whom I live with) currently works at the local Junior College- a job that she waited 9 months to get. My brother is extremely unstable mentally and requires counseling/meds to stay under control.

The last time I tried to become independent was when I got a job as a software engineer- RIGHT OUT OF HS! I was so excited that I took all of my savings and got an apartment, only to find out that my job literally didn’t pay (I got ripped off in the contract), and my “best friends” that I was room mates with were some of the worst people around.

After that, I lived in my car in South-Central LA for a long while, praying that I could find work/help, but all I got was drugged, shot at and harassed by cops. I moved back in with my grandma, and have been stuck here ever since.

The last time I had a job was: February 2011

The last time I had a job that I could live off of was: NEVER
