We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I don’t know yet if I’ll get enough money when I graduate to pay off my loan. I don’t know yet if I’ll even get a job. I am going to school to be an English teacher. I want to get a masters to try and make a little bit more. With the economy getting worse, and politicians fighting about things they know nothing about, and banks taking our money because of their screw-ups, I feel like I should drop out of college just to make sure that my little boy can have a chance, not pay off my bills (and the debt that the “elite” and raised). I am a single dad; I live with my parents to get through college; I just want to be ok.

This little guy will get me through it. I won’t stop.

I am the 99%
