We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I am 28 years old…

I have $70,000 debt from student loans and I work 60+ hours a week with an 8 month old child. My husband, my child, and I live paycheck to paycheck. We had to borrow money from family members twice in the past two years to pay our rent. I was lucky enough to find a job as a community counselor for a company with no maternity leave. I was only able to take off 2 weeks using 2/3 of my sick/vacation time for the year to recover! I have been to the ER 3 times, because I did not have enough time to recover and we now have $2,000 in medical bills (even though I have “excellent” health insurance).
