I’ve worked in the games industry for over 20 years and also as an electronic producer / composer. I’ve never borrowed money or used credit and was happy just getting by, doing creative work and living within my means. 

As I’ve grown older and brought children into the world I’ve found saving money has gotten harder. My father died and I had to leave my job to come back to the UK to look after my mother.

I planned to start up my own game studio, but I wasn’t able to get a bank loan.

Right now, I don’t make enough to pay the rent. I’m on housing benefit and trying to find a job - even if it means living away from my kids.

I believe a system that allows banks to create debt from thin air for the benefit of an elite minority is morally indefensible. 

I am the 99%.
