I have worked since I was 16. Summers and during the school year. I graduated from Boston College Summa Cum Laude. I worked while I earned an M.A. fro UNH and got my teaching certificate. I spent 4 precious years working at a poor school district....

I have worked since I was 16.  Summers and during the school year.  I graduated from Boston College Summa Cum Laude.  I worked while I earned an M.A. fro UNH and got my teaching certificate.  I spent 4 precious years working at a poor school district.  Spent my own money on supplies.  Paid so kids could participate in extracurricular activities.  Spent nights and weekends prepping and grading so my kids could love social studies like I do.  Then the economy & mill closings killed the tax-base and the school.  Now I have no job, am $40,000 in debt, and at age 33 am living with my parents again.  Impossible to think of getting married /  having kids with my boyfriend.  I miss my classroom and my students (who also need jobs).  I am the 99%
