My mom works 50+ hours a week and barely has enough to pay for bills and rent, let alone to buy food for herself, my sister and I. The company that employs her is shipping work overseas for cheaper labor. This will leave us with no income, other than...

My mom works 50+ hours a week and barely has enough to pay for bills and rent, let alone to buy food for herself, my sister and I.

The company that employs her is shipping work overseas for cheaper labor. This will leave us with no income, other than the social security my sister loses when she turns 18.
We can only afford to go to the hospital if it’s an emergency.

Through all this, I’m lucky enough to be going to college.

I’m scared of what the new year will bring for us.

We are the 99%.
