We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I spent my life designing and prototyping products for energy independence and better health, but the subsidies all went to the big monopolies. I dropped out of high school to study more relevant stuff and have lectured to graduating engineers. I had lots of eager customers, but business just gave me the run-around. I’ve never had a TV and went decades with no car, but I’ve lived in cars. I couldn’t start a family without using up their natural inheritance, and now the world is on the brink of many disasters, while the hot markets are for guns and yachts. Without vigorous direct democracy to regulate it, a corporation becomes a psychopathic robot, using up its living components.
