We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

“My home has been in my family for over 150 years. My parents were so financial strained, they took out a mortgage. Last month, my unemployed father asked my 26 year-old sister to take out a "car loan” to help them pay the 6 month overdue mortgage. If she hadn’t, we would have lost the house my ancestors built with their bare hands. WE ARE THE 99 PERCENT.“

There are a lot of other awful things left unsaid, but it’s a relief to see those burdens are shared.
