We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I have known rock bottom as a kid, moving from place to place, living off food bank donations and getting thrift store clothes that were donated to us never knowing where we would end up next. I was always told to work hard, get good grades and make something of myself as a kid so I would never have to live this way again…but in today’s world that is a slippery slop that we all face regardless of where we live. Having to choose between gas or food is a daily struggle for some of us and this is NOT how things are suppose to be (even if we live within our means). I have a roof over my head, food on my table and a job even if it is part-time and for all these little things I am grateful…but aren’t these suppose to be the basics?

What happened to the American dream that lead thousands of immigrants here so very long ago? A once beautiful dream that is now dying under the greed of financial gain from heartless corporations that currently run our once proud country. But now you drown in debt from trying to achieve higher education, work any job you can get a hold of and hope that you can make it through till payday, good honest people are loosing their homes and cars and even some are loosing their hope. I am proud to be part of this movement, and I support it 100% whether is triumphs or fails I can tell my daughter that I was part of this movement
