We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I am 22 years old. I moved to Europe to get a degree in Global Journalism & Media Ethics and avoid debt. I graduated in August, 2011, and decided it was easier to be an illegal immigrant, living on a cash basis, in a place that freely provides healthcare, then take my chances back in America… I just want to go home and build a life with the man I love. It seems impossible, but I am hopeful.
