We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I am an employed, educated, debt-free, contributing member of adult society.

I have Type 1 Diabetes.

My healthcare costs average $500 per month out of pocket. Insurance costs more, so I don’t have any.

I live in Fear.

I am afraid that I will not be able to afford my insulin. I am afraid that I will not be able to afford my insulin pump supplies. I am afraid that I will not be able to afford food. I live with this fear daily because $800 gross income per month is NOT a living wage for anyone suffering from chronic illness or any other ailment.

I AM THE 99%!!!
