We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I’m 22 years old and graduated with a double major from an esteem school.

I currently live at home with my parents under their health care plan.

During college, I worked for two years waitressing and worked two internships for experience.

All the money I saved up is gone.

After applying for two months straight, I could find any jobs.

Especially in the fields I had experience in.

I finally got a part-time job in a gym daycare at $8 an hour.

I also started my second job recently.

Sometimes I get one day off a week.

I’m spending money and time applying to grad schools now where I have a 5% chance of being accepted so I can improve my chances of getting an entry-level job.

Most schools cost at least $20,000 per semester.

I also just got an e-mail about beginning the repayment of undergrad loans.

In addition to other bills I’ve taken on.

This is me on the path to financial independence after college.

I AM THE 99 PERCENT.
