We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

Gen-X college grad: small family, small home, small salary, pitifully small civic influence. Adjusted for inflation, a smaller American reality than that of my dad—a civil servant who dropped out of college.
And there’s the rub: Huge corps buy our reps, control our laws. They take nearly everything and contribute nearly nothing, hiding gains offshore. At this rate, how much America will remain for my grade-school son?
P.S.: I’ve worked at Accenture, EDS (now part of IBM) and DBM. Now proudly at a non-profit.
