We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

I am a life support system for a paycheck. I am working so hard to meet ends that I feel like I will never know what it is like to get ahead. I need a dermatologist, chiropractic and dental but have no idea when I will be able to afford any of it.

We have made such good choices and work so damned hard. Despite all this, there is still the knowledge that we can’t take one more financial punch or we will lose everything. There is still the sense that no matter how diligent we are, there is no payoff, no reward.

I am the 99 percent.
