My Wife, Myself, & my Brother all live together barely scraping by. I can’t even go out to look for work due to childcare cost rising so much, any assistance that may have been there before has been cut down and won’t allow for anyone else to sign up for it. Waiting list for section 8 is 9 years long.
No one in our home is on health insurance except for the kids, god forbid if one of us is actually hospitalized we will all be totally and utterly screwed. Not to mention what happens when Medicaid for children is cut. No heat in the house for this winter, luckily found a space heater down the road from us to heat the kids’ room.
Behind on all of our bills, barely making electricity and rent. No crisis centers in the area have any funding left to give, no assistance programs can help due to budget cuts. Food stamps were cut down to $38 a month because my wife makes $750 a month.
No Jobs are available for me to work, I have no way of finding any jobs due to assistance having been dried up and cut down to nothing. I can’t support my family or even help it stay afloat. My wife and I are both on depression medication she overworks herself and I try to do odd jobs around the neighborhood to scrape by.
Losing Hope in the America, Not sure what else to do.
I am the 99 percent.
