occupywallst.org I worked two part-time jobs to put myself through uni with the help of a very good scholarship, and the support of my family. I graduated with my Bachelors with honors. I apply for work every single day, and have been for months. Nothing has come of it. My internship’s grant funding was cut, and my savings are going to bills, helping my parents, health and car insurance, and to raising my two nephews. I don’t have a co-signer for a loan to go to grad school. If I’m hit with one more financial burden, my life will change dramatically. It is unacceptable that my situation is considered one of the “fortunate” ones and that I owe my life to what very little I do have. I want to work, and make an honest wage. I want to make a difference in my community and to my country. But every part of our financial system is preventing me from doing it. My peers are giving up their dreams in order to survive in this country. This has to change. We are the 99% occupywallst.org
